6-MAN GANG ARRESTED FOR RITUAL KILLING(viewer discretion advised)

The Nkwerre Vigilante Network this week arrested a six-man gang specialized in the sale of human parts for rituals and transplant in Nkwerre, Imo State. The men confessed to kidnapping their victims at various locations in the state and using their parts for ritual purposes. Some parts they sold to people who needed them for transplant. The men, who are mostly bricklayers, confessed that they sell the parts from N500k to N1million, depending on the parts in demand. Two of the ritual killers were found to be pastors. The men took the vigilante network members and some policemen to their hideout which is a forest in Umugara Village in Nkwerre. There, police found the decomposing corpses of some of their victims, mostly women and children.

WOUND OF UNIPORT MURDERS REOPENS: Culprits Stand Trial

Suspects in the murder of "the UNIPORT four" at the Rivers State High Court, Port Harcourt The trial of the twelve suspected killers of four undergraduate students of the UNIPORT at Ikwerre Local Government Area, has opened in Port Harcourt. Ugonna Obuzor (18, Theatre Arts), Lloyd Toku Mike (20, Civil Engineering), Chiadika Biringa (20, Theatre Arts ) and Tekena Elkanah (21, Education) were acccused of stealing telephone handsets. The four were murdered by an angry mob at Omuokiri, Aluu, near University of Port Harcourt on October 5, last year. The prosecution, represented by the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Justice, Rufus N. Investigation on SSS 3 girl beheaded in Abia community on – Police

THE Abia state police Command said that it is working hard to find out who beheaded a 17 year old girl in her parents’ farm in Ukome community Umuahia North Council Ares of Abia state The girl, Chioma Emeka Ikwuagwu, was until her brutal killing an SSS 3 student of Holy Rosary College in Umuahia and hailed from Ameke Ibuku in Umuahia North Council Area. She was killed on the 26th of July in her father’s farm in Ukome a neigbouring community and her head severed off but was not taken away. Also, police sources said that no part of Chioma’s body was removed thereby ruling out any link to ritual killing. Following her brutal killing, Ameke community was said to have issued an ultimatum to their Ukome neighbours, urging to say what happened to their daughter or face their wrath. Anger as Police arraign developer who duped 106

Salaudeen Tempers ran high at the Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court on Wednesay as a 37-year-old developer, Ishola Salaudeen, was arraigned for allegedly duping 106 people of millions of naira. An angry mob assaulted a friend of the defendant shortly after the matter was adjourned. They claimed he was part of their travails. He was, however, rescued by security guards. Salaudeen, who was arraigned on 211 counts of receiving money under false pretences and stealing, was said to have collected sums ranging from N180,000 to N1m for a property from the complainants, many of whom paid into his bank account. The incident was said to have occurred in April 2013 at Oriola Street in the Ketu area of Lagos. It was said that the expectant tenants later converged on the said house on the instruction of Saludeen, waiting to take possession of their apartments. Man sets friend ablaze for dating his mum

A father of four, Mr. Sylvester Ezema, of Akpa Edem, Nsukka, Enugu State was on Saturday set ablaze by one Sunday Ugwuoke of the same community. The incident, which happened in the early hours of morning has created much confusion and tension in the community. A source who pleaded anonymity said that the victim was ambushed around 5:30 a.m when he came out to urinate. According to him, “Ugwuoke on sighting Ezema, poured petrol on him before setting him ablaze. After the heinous act, he ran away and is still at large till now”. He further revealed that the shouting of the victim attracted sympathizers, who rushed him to Chukwudi Hospital Nsukka, where he later died. Osun Police probe attempted defilement of 4-yr-old girl

THE Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mrs Dorothy Gimba, has ordered an investigations into the case of attempted defilement of a four-year-old girl by one Lateef Olateju, a barber, at Yemoja area in Ido-Osun, Egbedore Local Government Area of the state. The commissioner also directed the family unit of the state Police command to ensure proper medical care for the victim, a pupil of Ibiyemi pre-primary school in Ido-Osun. It was gathered that Olateju had attempted to defile girl at his barbing salon on August 2, this year before one Obisesan Gbolahan caught him and reported the matter at Dada Estate Police Station in Osogbo. The suspect, however, escaped from the scene of the incident and his whereabouts could not be ascertained at press time. The victim was handed over to the police and the development prompted the state Commissioner of Police to order detectives in the command to ensure the arrest of the suspect. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency is taking covert steps to monitor specific Nigerian celebrities moving in and out of the country. The Oyo State Police Command on Wednesday paraded Alex Akinyemi, an alleged accomplice in the killing of a student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Miss Seun Adaramoye. The remains of Adaramoye were found by passersby near aguest house at Under-G area of Ogbomosho on June 20, 2013. Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyanganku, Ibadan, Dansuki Galadanchi, said upon investigation, the owner of the guest house where the corpse was found told the police that his security guard was involved in the murder. NIS arrests 147 illegal immigrants in Ondo

Officers of the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service on Friday paraded 147 persons from Niger Republic and Chad, who illegally came to the state without valid travelling documents. The Comptroller of NIS in the state, Mr. Adesola Sessi, told journalists in Akure that the illegal immigrants were picked up by his men at the Sabo and Shasha areas of the state capital. He explained that the people will be repatriated to their countries of origin immediately because they were constituting a great security risk, especially when it was discovered that they had no means of livelihood. He said two of them attacked and injured some immigration officers while trying to resist arrest on Thursday. Sessi said the illegal immigrants had been living in the state for a very long time and that it took his men diligent surveillance to fish them out of their hideouts.

A suspected fake National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member, Opeyemi Ajala, 34, has been remanded in prison custody after he was arrested by the police at Dolphin Division, Ikoyi, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, and charged to court. He allegedly told the police that he was contracted by Olotu Osayowanon now at large to help him serve the one year compulsory scheme with an agreement that he would be paying him N19,000 monthly. Police Recover 20 Skulls & Decomposing Bodies At Aba Dump Site

A dump site has been discovered near Aba, Abia State, where over 20 human skulls and decomposing bodies, including those of school children were found. SunNews reports that the site, which was a horror to behold was located, at about kilometer 15 on the Aba/Azumini Highway at an area called "No man's land" after Akpaa village in Obingwa Local Government of the state. President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the constitution of a Presidential Committee to "constructively engage key members of Boko Haram and define a comprehensive and workable framework for resolving the crisis of insecurity in the country." Celestial Church Prophet Owolere Odunuga Jailed In Kirikiri Over Visa Fraud

Prophet Owolere Odunuga of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Ibeshe District, Ikorodu, who was arrested for alleged visa fraud, has been remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria. He allegedly confessed that he used part of the money to pay his tithe, used some to pay his house rent and invested the rest in his church. At the Ejigbo Magistrate's Court where he was arraigned, he also told the court that immigration officials at the airport collected N60,000 per passport to stamp a fake Visa for him.
