"Bachelor" contestant and model Gia Allemand died Wednesday, according to E! News. The 29-year-old, who appeared on Season 14 of the ABC dating show, was hospitalized in critical condition in New Orleans Monday following "a serious emergency medical event." Details of the medical event were not released, but it was later revealed that Allemand was placed on life support, E! reported. TMZ confirmed the news of Allemand's death with a family member. People magazine confirmed via a hospital source. Her family and her NBA star boyfriend, New Orleans Pelicans player Ryan Anderson, were by her side when she was admitted to University Hospital. A representative for Allemand and a media contact for ABC's "The Bachelor" could not be immediately reached for comment. Michael Ansara, the actor who played the "Star Trek" Klingon commander Kang in the franchise's TV show, died on Wednesday, July 31. He was 91. The actor died in his home in Calabasas, Calif., after a longterm illness, according to The Hollywood Reporter. His former publicist confirmed the news on August 2. Born in Syria, Ansara came to the U.S. with his parents when he was two years old. He is known as one of the only seven "Star Trek" actors to play the same character on three different versions of the beloved series. His last appearance as Kang was in 1996. His major film roles include parts in the 1953 version of "Julius Caesar," 1961's "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" and "The Greatest Story Ever Told" in 1965. I wonder what's going on between Tonto Dikeh and Mercy Johnson.   The beef kinda started last year when Tonto Dikeh said on twitter that Uche Jombo and Rita Dominic were the only actors she respected. A crazy fan asked "but what about Mercy Johnson" and Tonto replied with "Fuck you all". Well, Tonto resumed the beef on twitter today by tweeting this:  "@TONTOLET: Wen n if I give birth,God plz provide mii wit a husband dat can provide 4uz,Not 1 dat wld send mii bck to actin 2monthz after I born 2Huzzle" She is obviously referring to Mercy Johnson! 

The Nigerian movie industry has yet again been thrown into mourning with the death of Tony Umole. The actor who is popular as "Daddy", a character he interpreted well in One Love, a TV serial drama.  His demise was confirmed by Taju Adepetu, the Executive Producer of One Love.  Umole acted in Abuja Connection back in 2003 with the likes of Eucharia Anumobi and Enebeli Elebuwa.
