Lola Alao Marries For The Second Time In The United States [PHOTOS]

Popular Nollywood actress Lola Alao has legalized her second marriage in the United States to American-based IT expert, Wale Ajibola. Lola has a daughter from her previous marriage. The Yoruba actress said she has forgiven her ex-husband, Dare Ogunlana, but allegations made by the man during the heat of the divorce saga are still fresh. Dare described Lola as “diabolical, deceitful and a woman not to be trusted”, to which the woman responded with maturity by keeping mum. In a recent interview, Lola agreed her ex husband was a nice man but got carried away by the pain of the separation. According to her “that man is a very nice man, it just didn’t work out between us”, she said.

Oprah: Clerk thinks I can't afford $38K handbag?

(Photo: Elise Amendol, AP) A $38,000 handbag? For most people, it's unthinkable. But for the richest sliver of the global population, it's a realistic option — and buyers aren't short of choices. In the upscale boutiques of Singapore, New York or Zurich — where Oprah Winfrey claims a sales clerk refused to show her a $38,000 bag — purses priced in the four figures are common. In fact, they're so common that a higher level of luxury exists to set the super-rich apart from the merely affluent. A budget of about $1,000 to $2,000 will buy one of the cheaper bags by luxe labels such as Prada, Hermes, Fendi, Chanel or Louis Vuitton. But that's just the starter step. Many labels create the same style of bag in a range of fabrics, from leather to more expensive calfskin, snakeskin and crocodile skin. DESPITE a hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebration and a colourful Durbar in Borno State, the military Joint Task Force (JTF) and members of Borno Vigilance Youths Group (BVYG) have arrested 11 Boko Haram terror suspects on the state.   The arrests were made in three separate areas of Maiduguri metropolis, including the Shehu’s palace, in the early hours of Friday.   The two suspects arrested at the Shehu’s palace had just returned from Gambouru Ngala in Shehuri ward of the metropolis where they went to celebrate the Sallah festivity with other members of the Islamist sect before they were nabbed by the youths.   Speaking on the arrest of eight suspects at the Motor Park, Isa Ibrahim of Vigilance Youths said: “We picked up these three Boko Haram suspects, who had just returned from Gombe to launch attacks on military and civilian targets in Maiduguri during and after the Sallah. After interrogating the suspects, one of them led the youths to Kofa Biyu area an...

Swiss store denies Oprah's racist claim

A Swiss luxury boutique has denied any wrongdoing after Oprah Winfrey claimed she was the subject of racism. A Swiss luxury boutique has denied any wrongdoing after US chat show queen Oprah Winfrey claimed she was the subject of racism when a shop assistant allegedly refused to show her an expensive handbag. Winfrey, one of the richest women in the world, says she was in Zurich for US singer Tina Turner's wedding last month and spotted a swanky crocodile handbag while out shopping. When she asked to see the bag, the woman told her it was too expensive and offered to show her something else. Trudie Goetz, head of the Swiss luxury chain Trois Pommes, has denied her saleswoman had ever sought to stop Winfrey buying the bag. But Switzerland Tourism has apologised and says the saleswoman behaved inappropriately.
