The Nigerian movie industry has yet again been thrown into mourning with the death of Tony Umole. The actor who is popular as "Daddy", a character he interpreted well in One Love, a TV serial drama.  His demise was confirmed by Taju Adepetu, the Executive Producer of One Love.  Umole acted in Abuja Connection back in 2003 with the likes of Eucharia Anumobi and Enebeli Elebuwa. The leadership of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State has said it is in total support of the suspension of Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and accused him of already working with the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC. The party leaders, led by the state party chairman, Felix Obuah, had a meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan and also apologised to the president for the governor's actions, which they described as 'shameful.' The Obuah led leadership, opposed to Mr. Amaechi, is believed to be sponsored by the Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike, and the presidency. They were declared the authentic leadership after a court sacked the party leadership loyal to Mr. Amaechi. Nollywood actress, Liz Da Silva who gave birth some weeks back has converted to Islam. The Togo-born actress who converted from Christianity to Islam after her childbirth did her Islamic name change (Wonka Ceremony) after which she changed her name to Aishat Olaoye. The actress said she preferred to be called Aishat instead of her former Christian name. "In case you want to know I have a good relationship with my baby's father and that is why I had to convert to Muslim and got a new name Aishat before the baby was named. I am a Christian, but I had to convert to Islam because of my baby," Liz Da Silva revealed in a recent interview. Insiders revealed that the actress has secretly disclosed that the man who impregnated her is one Alhaji Olaoye, a close friend to popular Oshodi transport boss MC Oluomo. Nigeria international Christian Obodo, who was reported to be missing by Dinamo Minsk, was found hale and hearty in Udine, Italy on Tuesday. This past weekend, the Director General of Dinamo Minsk, Sergei Pavlyukovich interviewed by goals.by declared Obodo missing. It is not the first time that law enforcements agents have gone searching for the central midfielder. While vacationing in Warri, Nigeria last summer, Obodo was kidnapped by gunmen who later contacted his family and asked for a ransom. He was later rescued by police. In this latest incident, the former Udinese ace was found by a police patrol in Udine, Italy, which is a distance of approximately 1,500 kilometers from Minsk. The Edo State Police Command, yesterday, paraded a 'gay' Nigerian pastor identified as Philips Ogbebor, who allegedly had carnal knowledge of a 20-year-old male member of his church (names withheld). After the act, the pastor allegedly threatened to kill his victim if he disclosed the act to the public. Speaking to Vanguard, Pastor Ogbebor simply said: "God will judge, go and talk to others" and kept on mumbling But his victim narrated his ordeal.
