Michael Eromhonsele sacrificed romance for excellence and emerged the best graduating student of Covenant University in Ota, Ogun State at 20:   Twenty-year-old Eromhonsele Michael was the cynosure of all eyes at the eighth graduation ceremony of the Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, on Friday. He was the best graduating student of the institution. To achieve this feat, he obtained a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.92, out of a possible 5.0, to beat 1,465 other undergraduates. NO fewer than 42 suspected members of the Islamic sect, Boko Haram, have been arrested by men of the 81 Division of the Nigeria Army. The arrested suspects, said to have been dislodged in the North-Eastern states of Borno, Yobe and others, were, in the last few days, arrested in Lagos and Ogun states. The suspects were, on Monday, paraded before newsmen in Lagos by the General Officer Commanding 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major-General Obi Umahi. Majority of the arrested suspects were said  to have migrated from Borno State to south-western states, particularly Lagos and Ogun, to escape from the Joint Task Force (JTF). They allegedly confessed to have participated in some deadly attacks by the Islamic sect in the northern part of the country. The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Mr Makanjuola Ogundipe, resurfaced in the state capital on Tuesday and announced the suspension of a governorship aspirant of the party, Mr Ayo Fayose, and three members of the state executive committee of the party. The members of the state executive whose suspensions were also announced by Mr Ogundipe are the secretary of the party, Mr Tope Aluko; the publicity secretary, Mr Kola Oluwawole and the women leader, Mrs Busola Oyebode. Ogundipe, who addressed newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, expressed regret over the invasion of the party secretariat, describing it as “unfortunate and highly regretted,” and added that the state working committee of the party “after a careful study and thorough investigation” decided to suspend the people.
