Tom Arnold Becomes First-Time Dad at Age 54

The actor-comedian and his wife, Ashley Groussman, welcomed a baby boy on Saturday.Tom Arnold an actor-comedian, 54, and his wife,Ashley Groussman, welcomed their first child, a boy named Jax Copeland Arnold, on Saturday."We are still in a bit of shock," the couple told People. "It has been a long journey and the healthy birth of our son is a miracle."

Arnold also hit Twitter to joke about becoming a first-time father later in life.

"Game Changer: Jax Copeland Arnold. 8lbs 12oz. Looking forward to being a 70 year old Little League Coach," he tweeted.

Arnold -- who was married three times, including to Roseanne Barr, before tying the knot with Groussman in November 2009 -- has been candid about his struggles with infertility.

“I’ve tried with other people, but since there is a God we were unable to conceive. Now God said, ‘This is it!’” Arnold toldPeople in January.

Arnold, the former co-host of Fox Sports Net's The Best Damn Sports Show Period, is best known for roles in such films asTrue Lies. He recently appeared in the film Hit & Run and guest-starred on CBS' Hawaii Five-0.

Samsung reportedly close to releasing Glass competitor — and Google’s involved

This one is definitely a rumor, but its source is reliable enough to warrant a little speculation. Analyst and blogger Eldar Murtazin tweeted a rather definite message this week that Samsung is “developing [its] own version of Google Glass. We will see it (probably) around April – May under Gear Glass brand.” Given that Google’s own version of Glass is not expected to hit the mass market until early 2014, Samsung’s Glass competitor could very well race Google’s to market. That might seem like a nightmare for Google, which has invested heavily in Glass and is no doubt planning for a strong event launch, but as was pointed out in a CNet article, the use of the word “Glass” implies an official partnership. Samsung is known for its aggressive branding and Google would likely raise legal concerns regardless, so it’s unlikely the brand Gear Glass would be used without a partnership.
