Mourinho: Chelsea boss calls up players that are in his plans, as Mikel and Mata prepare to leave

Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, has started calling the players that will play vital roles, ahead of the new season.

The Portuguese has already spoken with Ramires and Kevin de Bruyne, assuring them of their roles, as he seeks to make similar impact like he did in 2005.

Ramires said Mourinho told him he tried to sign him while he was manager at Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

“I am eager to start working with Mourinho, my phone rang recently and it was Mourinho,” he told Globo Esporte.

“It surprised me. We talked a lot and he said nice things.

“He said that he requested Inter Milan and Real Madrid sign me when he was coaching those teams, he said that he is happy that I am in Chelsea’s squad.

“That made me very happy, and I told him that he can count on me, that I’ll do what I can to help him be a winner at his new spell at the club.

“I was already eager to work with him and I am now even more motivated after finding out that he wants to work with me. I am feeling we will have a great season.”

Belgian winger De Bruyne, has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, having spent the previous season on loan at Werder Bremen, but Mourinho is keen for him to return.

“Mr Mourinho gave a phone call to Kevin, explaining a little bit the situation for next season,” his agent, Patrick De Koster said.

“Afterwards, Kevin played the game (for Belgium against Serbia), received congratulations from the coach and then he left on holiday.

“A year and a half ago when he signed a contract at Chelsea, it was like a dream which became reality.

“Afterwards it was important for Kevin to put the right steps at the right moments.

“Kevin wants to play. Playing football, he became a better football player. I think he proved it staying six months more in Genk and last season in Bremen.

“He did very well. Now it’s up to him to prove the same thing at Chelsea.”

13 Places You Should Visit In before the end of 2013

Wikimedia Commons It's more than halfway through 2013 and even though the summer is winding down, there's still plenty of time to book a trip to a great destination. We looked at major developments, cultural trends, and global festivals to find the hottest places to travel around the world in 2013. Samsung reportedly close to releasing Glass competitor — and Google’s involved

This one is definitely a rumor, but its source is reliable enough to warrant a little speculation. Analyst and blogger  Eldar Murtazin  tweeted a rather definite message this week that Samsung is “developing [its] own version of Google Glass. We will see it (probably) around April – May under Gear Glass brand.” Given that Google’s own version of Glass is not expected to hit the mass market until early 2014, Samsung’s Glass competitor could very well race Google’s to market. That might seem like a nightmare for Google, which has invested heavily in Glass and is no doubt planning for a strong event launch, but as was pointed out in a CNet article, the use of the word “Glass” implies an official partnership. Samsung is known for its aggressive branding and Google would likely raise legal concerns regardless, so it’s unlikely the brand Gear Glass would be used without a partnership. Does Google even want to sell Glass, or does it just want you wearing face-screens? If Goog
