The State Security Service (SSS) on Friday arrested an alleged Boko Haram suspect, Kabiru Umar aka Kabiru Sokoto, at the Federal High Court, Abuja. Mr. Umar was arrested in connection with the Christmas Day bombing of the St. Theresa Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger State in 2011. Several people were killed in the bombing. After his initial arrest, the suspect fled from police custody but was later re-arrested. 'Kabiru Sokoto' was alleged to have had information about the bombing but failed to inform law enforcement agents. The accused was charged for allegedly being a member of a terrorist group known as Boko Haram between 2007 and 2012 at Mabira Sokoto in Sokoto State. He was also allegedly found to have facilitated the execution of a terrorist act within the period. The charge read that the suspect committed an offence contrary to Section 4(1) (a) of the Terrorism and Prevention Act 2011 and punishable under Section 33(1) (b) of the same Act. Kimura was crowned the world's oldest person by Guinness World Records last December after the death of 115-year-old Dina Manfredini of Iowa in the United States. Richard Williamson joined the social network as its director of engineering this month, according to his LinkedIn profile. Bloomberg reported Wednesday that he has been at Facebook for the past few weeks. Last November, Williamson was fired by Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice-president of Internet software and services, following numerous user complaints that Maps had major bugs. When it launched last September with iOS 6, the app's problems included: omitting transit directions, providing poor navigation and displaying incomplete 3D views that distorted national monuments. Many compared Maps unfavorably to Google Maps, which was replaced by Apple's in-house mapping service, but later reinstated. Apparently, Evie Branan knows what she wants. When the 79-year-old Flint Township, Mich., resident  awoke from a 5-year semi coma  in May 2011, she made a firm request. "I want to go to a  Bob Seger concert ," she said, according to MLive.com. Nearly two years later, Branan's wish is finally set to come true. On Thursday, she is attending Seger's performance in Auburn Hills, Mich. It will be her fifth time seeing Seger live. Staff members at Willowbrook Manor, who have cared for Branan since her stroke in 2007, made it happen. Christopher Crist claims that he went into a dentist office to get a few painful teeth pulled. When he walked out, he had none. The 21-year-old Indiana man, who is autistic, told Fox 59 that his mom sent him to Amazing Family Dental in Indianapolis to  get three of his teeth removed . But instead of ending the procedure with three pulled teeth, the dentist kept going, Crist says. "They pulled every last one of them," he told the station. "I am going to look like a freak now." He says the  gruesome operation began  after the dentist gave him some pills to ease the pain of the procedure, WTVR reports. His mother had given him strict instructions to ask that three teeth be pulled. It's unclear when the mixup occurred. Crist was admitted to a hospital where he's reportedly battling an infection due to the dentistry debacle. Mr. Ali Haruna, 25, from Kano State, has been arrested by the police at the Maroko Police Division, Lekki, Lagos, for allegedly entering the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, situated on Muri Okunola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos with charms strapped to his waist. Haruna was arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate Court on one-count charge of illegally entering a church with charms. During interrogation, he allegedly told the police that he entered the church to pray to God. But when asked what he was doing with the charms he strapped to his waist, he could not give satisfactory answer nor explain how long he had been worshiping in the church since he claimed he was a Muslim. The church members suspected him to have entered the church to perpetrate evil.

Maybe, but he’s not alone and it could have been much worse. After all, Snipes was convicted of failure to file, a misdemeanor. Filing falsely is a felony. You can be prosecuted for failure to file or for filing falsely. You must file a tax return each year with the IRS if your income is over the requisite level. Snipes is over,  way  over. As Snipes’ misdemeanor convictions show, failing to file carries smaller penalties than filing fraudulently. The U.S. taxes all income wherever you earn it. So forget arguing that only foreign-source income is taxable, making your domestic income exempt. There is a convoluted argument that foreign income is different, but don’t
